CLU51 Track (11/08/2016, 9:33:17AM)

83.2 km

Today we departed Running Waters and drove the Finke River. A few challenging spots 1. Rocky river crossing south of the NP 2. Some big sandy sections 3. A deep water crossing with bow wave to top of windscreen (maybe I pushed it abut hard but I didn't want to get stuck). Then to Hermansburg for some good Lutheran struddle. Now at Palm Valley.

Ayers Rock to Running Waters. Easy drive with dirt in high 4x4 through Henbury property tracks. A few flies here but a tranquil spot.

First day. Thought of going further to get some miles under the belt but couldn't resist the camp at Nindigully by the Moonie River.
