Arkaroola to Arkaroola via Four Mile Track, SA
110.1 kmTyre Pressure: 25psi
Four Mile track to Arkaroola via the Gammon Ranges National park. The Four Mile Track starts four miles out from Arkaroola, then heads in to the park (Loop Track).
Part of the track in the park was back tracked as the Oodnaminta Well Track was closed. This meant the Mount Taggart track was used to get out onto the Arkaroola road and back into Arkaroola.
Most of the track could be tackled with a AWD as the conditions are mild for somewhat, whereas low range is needed to tackle a few sections with a high clearance vehicle is a must.

In an out of beach coves, traveling through the dunes to get around headbands. Alot can be travelled in 2wd, the rest in 4wd high range. Most beaches are quite firm to hard with a few sections of very soft orange sand, stay high in those sections and keep the memento going to push through. A side trip in to the Beachport Buggy Club is always good.

This 99% beach driving.
Try to stay high on the beach as the orange sand is very soft. Keep the memento going to push through. Low range seem to be a bit better to get going again. If your going tackle this alone its best to have a winch and go at low tide, even better to go in a group.
Only drive if your experienced.
